Simulating Current & Future: Traditional Triage Compared to Split-Flow
In the current state, patients arrive to the emergency department and go through traditional triage before being seen. There is only one registrar and one triage nurse. In the future state, patients arrive and are immediately assessed by a quick-look nurse during registration. Then, they are taken to the appropriate treatment area.
